Who knew that British cartoonist-illustrator Ralph Steadman had created so many book fronts? The blog Caustic Cover Critic has assembled a massive collection of them (a couple of which I actually own). I’m particularly fond of his work on Ambrose Bierce’s The Devil’s Dictionary and his own book about Sigmund Freud.
Unfortunately, I don’t spot any crime-novel covers in the mix. But maybe someday Steadman can be convinced to contribute his idiosyncratic talents to the genre.
