Back in April 2010, American comic-book artist and illustrator Francesco Francavilla began posting, in parts, a quite beautiful graphic adaptation of Dashiell Hammett’s 1924 short story, “Nightmare Town” (which was also included in, and gave its name to, a 1999 collection of Hammett’s work). He got only six parts into it--or less than a third of the way through the story--before he abruptly stopped, presumably called away by other commitments.
However, those six magazine-like spreads of “Nightmare Town” are still available here: Part I, Part II, Part III, Part IV, Part V, and Part VI. And if we’re lucky, he will return to finish this series. Someday.

Thank you for the kind words - I wanted to re-assure you finishing that project is one of the several scheduled Pulp related things for this year - especially now that The Black Beetle is being published :)
Stay tuned :)
Cheers,
Francesco
