Rader Love: “A Mania for Blondes”

Part of a month-long celebration of artist Paul Rader’s work.

A Mania for Blondes, by Samuel A. Krasney (Ace, 1961). According to his biographical page in the French version of Wikipedia (why there isn’t a corresponding American version, I don’t know), Krasney was a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania-born journalist-author. A Mania for Blondes was his second novel featuring Lieutenant Ben Krahmer of the Philadelphia Police Department’s Vice Squad. It was preceded by Morals Squad (1959). Although the French Wikipedia suggests Krasney might still be alive, this obituary from New Jersey says he died in August 2009 at age 87.
