Stanley’s Style: “Root of Evil”

Root of Evil, by Eaton K. Goldthwaite (Dell, 1948). American author Goldthwaite (1907-1994) may be most familiar for having penned Scarecrow (1945) and The Sixpenny Dame (1953). Root of Evil was apparently his fifth novel.
