I’m sorry to say that I had never heard of French illustrator Michel Gourdon before reading in the blog Pulp International that he died in mid-March of this year. Regardless, he created some marvelous work over his four-decades-long career. You can see a few of his book covers associated with Pulp International’s notice of his death. Additional images are available here, here, and here. Or simply plug Gourdon’s name into Google and see what comes up.
Born in Bordeaux, France, in November 1925, Gourdon had retired at age 72. He was 85 years old when he passed away.
