Obsessions in All Their Glory

After posting an article several days ago about E.L. James’ “mommy porn” novel Fifty Shades of Grey and “how it feeds into the rich seam of sleaze and sex pulp popular in the late fifties and sixties,” Pulp Curry blogger Andrew Nette has gathered together a most eye-catching gallery of covers from that subgenre.

I confess, my favorite here is the peeping-tom front from Frank Haskell’s Boarding House, but I’m also drawn to the cover of R.H. Ward’s The Offenders, if only because of its fabulous tagline: “Old enough to know better--young enough not to care ...”
